Selecting a Default Profile

Define the profile to use as a default when registering a particular instance type (location, OS version, architecture) with Autonomous Linux. Default profiles must reside in the root compartment.

    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Autonomous Linux, click Profiles.
    2. Under List scope, select the root compartment.
    3. Locate the profile you want to set as a default. From the Actions menu (Actions icon), select Set as default profile.
  • Use the oci os-management-hub profile update command and required parameters to update the profile and set it as the default. The profile must reside in the root compartment.

    oci os-management-hub profile update [OPTIONS]

  • Run the UpdateProfile operation to set the profile as a default. The profile must reside in the root compartment.
